General Sat Nav questions

Q. Do the Scala Rider units work with SAT NAV ?

A. Yes, they will work with Bluetooth enabled Sat Nav systems. Tested on TomTom Rider and Garmin 500/550 range.

Q. How does the SAT NAV work with the Scala Rider including Teamset versions?

A. The Sat Nav will cut in and give instructions to the rider when required. If using Teamset and a conversation is in progress with pillion the SAT NAV will talk to the rider.

Scala Rider FM Questions

Q. Picking up radio stations when setting up the unit (especially in poor signal areas)

A. Try plugging in the Bluetooth unit into the mains power using the adaptor and it should work ok

Bike to Bike

The new Scala Rider Q2 can now handle bike to bike comms. please see our products page. The Solo, FM and Teamset are not designed to work for bike to bike comms. However the rider unit and pillion unit CAN speak within a range of 10m (Teamset). If you require longer distances then you would need two seperate units and use a phone call to speak to each other. Or you need the Q2 multiset for two units.
