Hi, just a few words to let you know how pleased I am with the Scala Rider Teamset I purchased from you. After using the set for approx 1 month, I can report that even on my Loud Harley Davidson with an open face helmet, the set works well up to approx 65mph. I can only assume that using a full face helmet would make it work fine at higher speeds. I am also very impressed with how long the battery lasts for, due to it switching to standby. Being able to talk to my pillion, who has just got off, or not on the bike yet up to approx 4mtrs away from the bike, is also a help. Overall I would recommend the set to anyone thinking of going down the pllion passenger comunication route. Regards Steve

We have now done a couple of runs using the Scala Headsets and would like to say how well they work. Speech is clear when talking to pillion rider, the connection to the phone and TomTom Rider sat nav set is excellent. I like the way they use vox so that battery life last longer, had them for a couple of weeks now using them on 4 rides lasting approx 5 -6 hours and still not had to recharge them. In my opinion this is the only communication set that bikers should use.

In the box: Master and Slave headsets now updated with TWO speakers each.
Charging unit to charge both headsets at same time. 5 hrs first charge.
Neat headset carrying pouches.
Choice of Euro or USA plug option (comes with UK adapter)

Installation: 10 mins.......master fitted to Shuberth C2, Slave to Caberg Justissimo very straight-forward, time taken to route speaker cables.

Ease of use: Very easy...with the TeamSet, headsets are ALREADY paired together, just turn them on and off you go. Can operate either 'ON' all time or voice operated. Recently bought a Zumo....paired with it straight away. Also paired with Nokia 6630...again easily.

Riding: Got to say very impressed with sound quality when talking to Missus.. (actually enjoyed it!! First time for everything!!!) Took bike up to 95mph and with quite some wind- Very clear and we both turned volume down quite a bit....even whispering...not a problem. Range .....stopped for petrol and carried on conversation easily while she paid in shop...30 feet away? Zumo quality also very good and seamlessly cut into conversation and out again. Zumo mp3 music good...plenty loud enough but as Zumo at moment doesn't do Bluetooth stereo...its two mono speaker effect. Apparently Garmin are looking to update firmware to change this??

After 1st charge , left headsets on all day.....no problem.....should do 7hrs with 1 week standby. Didn't make any phone calls, to be honest....to busy riding and playing so didn't test that but I'm sure that's good too.

As for www.truebluetech.co.uk, I'm well happy with them.....great product...good quality and very simple to use.

Just couple of downers... sort of... my boom mic could be a little longer....C2 is a different shape and it sits to side of mouth......DOESN'T AFFECT USE in that position at all though. Wish music was in stereo...... that might change and if it don't, then I'm still happy. Look Ma No Wires!!

Response from TrueBlueTech - Thanks for your excellent review Chris and we are looking to get longer mics for these types of helmets. Thanks

TeamSet specific notes:

The TeamSet is the best Scala Rider version "for me". I have used it with pillion on board and it works great, no buttons to press or anything. It just detects when one of you speaks and it connects you. You have to talk louder at slower speeds initially just to kick of the comms and once its open you can talk at normal volumes. Also there is an option for this to be open all the time so it does not have to wait for you to kick it off. The conference calling ability also works really well. I can add my passenger to the call and disconnect them too if I wish with the press of a button. Again an excellent unit for those who carry a pillion regularly or occasionally.

I'm so happy with the unit and your service...

I’m very glad with my Scala TeamSet. I have tested mostly alone and it is amazing! I can pick up a phone call simply by shouting at the mic, and I have been talking up to 120 km/h with no problem. What is more, most people don’t believe you are talking from a bike.

Regarding the Intercom feature it is also very nice. You can talk with your partner easily and without cables. On both modes the mic does not pick up any wind noise and sound is very clear (I must say that we both wear full face helmets), although in intercom mode a low crispy background noise is heard. The AGC feature is simply amazing, as you can hear your partner or the phone call perfectly independent of the speed and wind conditions.

I admit the TeamSet has beaten my expectations and it is incredible how well it works. If you are planning to buy an intercom forget about cheaper solutions, I have tried 3 cable intercoms and all of them were unintelligible above 80-90 Km/h (or even less on windy days)…they all are now in the trash can!

Good luck with your business.
